Driver Standards & Mississippi Compliance
Last Updated: April 28, 2026
1. Independent Contractor Status
In accordance with Mississippi law, all drivers on the RideForce platform are Independent Contractors and not employees of Mississippi RideForce. Drivers maintain control over their schedules, the requests they accept, and the equipment they use.
2. Vehicle Requirements
To ensure the safety of Mississippi's workforce, all vehicles must:
- Be in good working condition and pass a basic safety inspection.
- Carry valid Mississippi auto insurance meeting or exceeding state minimums.
- Be no older than 15 years from the current model year.
3. Driver Conduct & Reliability
Our platform relies on recurring commitment. Reliability is our #1 priority for workers getting to their shifts:
- The Strike System: Drivers who cancel assigned trips within 24 hours of start or fail to show up will receive a "Strike." Accruing 3 strikes within 30 days may result in temporary or permanent suspension.
- On-Time Performance: Drivers are expected to arrive within 5 minutes of the scheduled pickup time.
- Safety First: Drivers must maintain a clean driving record and pass a background check.
4. Payouts & Earnings
Earnings are transferred to your connected Stripe account upon the completion of each trip. Mississippi RideForce uses Stripe Connect Express for secure, transparent payout management. You are responsible for any applicable Mississippi state and federal income taxes on your earnings.
5. Mississippi Law Compliance
Mississippi RideForce operates in compliance with MS Code Title 63 (Motor Vehicles) and all applicable state transportation network company (TNC) regulations. We are proud to be a Mississippi-owned company serving our state's essential workforce.
