Housekeeping and Laundry Worker

**\*\*\*No phone calls\*\*\*** The Tangerine Motel is seeking reliable, detail\-oriented, and hardworking **Housekeeping and Laundry Team** **Members**. This dual\-role position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hotel and managing the laundry services to ensure clean linens and towels are always available. **Key Responsibilities:** **Housekeeping Duties** * Clean and sanitize guest hotel rooms, including bathrooms. * Dust, vacuum, mop, and sweep floors regularly. * Empty trash and replace liners. * Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and linens. * Report any damages or needed repairs to supervisors promptly. * Follow safety and sanitation procedures at all times. * Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replacements when needed. **Laundry Duties** * Sort, wash, dry, fold, and put away linens and towels.. * Operate commercial washing machines and dryers according to guidelines. * Ensure proper labeling, sorting, and return of laundry to the correct location. * Inspect laundry for stains or damage and treat as needed. * Maintain cleanliness of laundry area and equipment. * Keep detailed records of laundry usage, damage, and inventory. **Qualifications** * Previous housekeeping or laundry experience is a plus but not required. * Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy loads (up to 40 lbs). * Able to work independently and as part of a team. * Good time management and communication skills. * Must be dependable, maintain a professional appearance and have reliable transportation. **Work Environment** * May involve standing, bending, and walking for extended periods. * Exposure to cleaning chemicals and laundry detergents. * Rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and MSU home football weekends may be required.
