CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR

Description: **ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES** * Operate plant functions from the control room under the direction of the control room lead operator. * Manage chip feed, fuel feed, furnace, dryer and secondary sizing. * Manage and monitor various levels and feed rates as instructed by the control room lead operator. * Monitor spark detection system. * Multi\-task with equipment alarms. * Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation. * Ensure all work is performed in a timely and safe manner. * Utilize skills to improve equipment optimization and reliability. * Maintain logs, record labor, material and equipment used. * Meticulous attention to detail; able to follow both written and verbal instructions. * Perform other related duties and serve as back\-up resource as assigned. * Submits reports in accordance with reporting directives. Requirements: **QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS** * High school diploma or equivalent education; trade school or college preferred. * One year of in plant manufacturing experience. * Ability to work independently and utilize critical problem solving and decision\-making skills to generate and implement solutions throughout the process. * Must have proficient computer skills. * Knowledge or ability to learn how to operate HMI touchscreens. * Must possess basic math skills. * Must maintain compliance within all LOTO, confined space, hot work, working at heights policies. * OSHA 10 training and experience. * Ability to work extended hours to includes nights, weekends, and holidays. * Ability to continuously walk or stand, bend, squat, climb stairs and lift items above shoulders. * Ability to work outdoors, rotating shifts, and lift 50 pounds required. *Highland Pellets is an Equal Opportunity Employer.*
