Welder Helper

**Job Summary** We are seeking a motivated and detail\-oriented Welder Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist skilled welders in various welding tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of welding processes and be eager to learn and grow within the field. **Responsibilities** * Assist welders in preparing materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and positioning components. * Operate power tools and equipment safely and effectively to support welding operations. * Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure precision in work. * Follow codes and standards for welding to maintain quality and safety. * Support various welding processes including FCAW (Flux\-Cored Arc Welding) and Stick Welding. * Aid in plasma cutting tasks as required for project specifications. * Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools are properly stored after use. * Collaborate with team members to build components according to project plans. **Qualifications** * Basic knowledge of welding techniques, including FCAW, Stick Welding, and plasma cutting. * Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation. * Understanding of relevant codes and standards related to welding practices. * Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is a plus. * Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high\-quality work. * Willingness to learn new skills and techniques in machining and fabrication processes. * Physical ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods during shifts.
