Host/Hostess

**Overview** We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage guest relations will be key to your success in this position. **Responsibilities** * Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. * Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize restaurant flow. * Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions. * Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with inquiries and reservations. * Maintain a clean and organized front\-of\-house area, ensuring a welcoming environment. * Collaborate with the waitstaff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. * Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues as necessary. * Assist in training new hosts/hostesses as needed. **Skills** * Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality. * Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries. * Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred. * Familiarity with Toast POS system is a plus but not required. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members. * A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast\-paced environment.
