As a Golf Course Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall mechanical upkeep of all golf course equipment, including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and other specialized turf equipment. Your role ensures the machinery operates efficiently and effectively, allowing for optimal course conditions and an enhanced playing experience for golfers. This position involves performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, as well as maintaining detailed service records. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Equipment Maintenance \& Repairs:** Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of golf course equipment, including gas, diesel, and electric\-powered machinery such as mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles. * **Preventative Maintenance:** Develop and implement a schedule for preventative maintenance on all equipment, including oil changes, blade sharpening, and tire rotations, ensuring peak performance and longevity. * **Mower Adjustments:** Calibrate and adjust cutting units on reel and rotary mowers for proper height and quality of cut on greens, tees, fairways, and roughs. * **Diagnostics \& Troubleshooting:** Identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring all equipment is operational when needed. * **Equipment Inspections:** Conduct daily inspections of machinery to ensure equipment is safe, properly maintained, and meets operational standards. * **Record Keeping:** Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date service and repair records, ensuring proper documentation for all equipment maintenance and parts inventory. * **Inventory Management:** Monitor and manage the inventory of parts, tools, and supplies necessary for repairs and maintenance. * **Course Support:** Occasionally operate equipment during peak times or assist the golf course team as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
